Anthony Gilbert B.A.(Hons) M.A. has considerable experience when it comes to getting peoples ideas onto paper, over 20 years in fact.
Anthony is best described as 'old school' He is meticulous in his approach and as well as being qualified to carry out the all important structural calculations for building work, he still prefers to hand draw his plans rather than rely on inflexible computer software.
Although Anthony works in conjunction with M.B.C. he is completely independent of them and can produce your plans and calculations, even if you intend to carry out the building work yourself.

We have had some drawings made up already, are you able to provide the structural calculations if we require them?

Yes. We are qualified to do structural design and calculations, which can be made available to you, even if you have appointed another architect.
I would like to employ your services for plans and calculations but I already have a builder in mind. Do I have to use M.B.C.?
As we work independently of M.B.C. you may appoint us as your architect providing a full, or part, service without any obligation on you to use M.B.C as your builder. You could also choose to use M.B.C. as your builder without any requirement on you to use our services.
I am not at the stage where I need full plans yet. Can you provide a consultation service outlining what we will need?
Yes. We are only too happy to call to your home and explain the requirements of building regulations and planning procedures, even an outline sketch of your proposed ideas. A consultation fee of £50 is payable which would be deducted from your invoice should you proceed to a full service with us.
Can you oversee the work as it progresses to ensure that everything is going to plan?
Yes, this is a valuable area of the work that we can provide and a fee of approximately 2% of the build costs would be incurred.
